Panhard and Levassor

Panhard an’ Levassor or as folks call it, Panhard et Levassor was a French car brand, one of the first in the world right alongside Mercedes. It got its start back in 1887, just a year after Benz rolled out its first car in 1886. Later on, Panhard an’ Levassor became part of Citroën, while its truck division went over to Renault.

Now, Panhard stuck around as part of Renault’s military ACMAT trucks (which I’ve written about in my blog for gearheads) all the way up till 2018. After that? Well, it’s history. But lemme tell ya, those Panhard an’ Levassor cars from about 1900 to the 1930s? Man, those are some badass vintage rides.

“Drive a Panhard et Levassor, and you’re the king of the classic car meets!”
