Various Opel Classic Cars!

Bilde
Well now, lemme tell ya somethin’ ‘bout Opel , partner. I done talked ‘bout ‘em before in my blog fer them good ol’ boys who like cruisin’ round the countryside, and I gotta say, they’re ‘bout as plain and dull as a two-dollar steak. Now, even though their quality’s shakin’ like a tumbleweed in a storm (yeah, I’ve heard ‘bout them Rekords rustin’ away), ya still see plenty o’ 70s and 80s Opels rollin’ ‘round Norwegian backroads, all tricked out by the local gearheads. But lemme spin ya a yarn ‘bout one special Opel that’s somethin’ else. This here’s the Opel Saehan Max , a rare breed that made its way clean across the globe, only to end up in a heap near Fetsund and Lillestrøm. See, this ol’ rig was first cooked up for the Koreans back in the late 70s, early 80s by Saehan. But the Koreans didn’t want nothin’ to do with ‘em. They tried pawning ‘em off to the Greeks, where a whole bunch just sat gatherin’ dust in a customs warehouse for years. Some got scrapped, but ‘bout 220 of th...

American Car Company 1906-1913!

American Car Company: A Forgotten Pioneer of Early Automaking The  American Car Company , an early titan of the U.S. auto industry, produced some of the most striking vehicles of its time. This company was known for its bold branding—a logo featuring a majestic eagle perched atop a globe. Talk about making a statement! Short but Impactful History Founded in 1906, the American Car Company made its mark during the formative years of the American automobile industry. Unfortunately, its run was short-lived, lasting only about seven years before folding in 1913. Despite its limited lifespan, it’s remembered as the  first car manufacturer to carry "American" in its name , a true pioneer in its era. The Other "American" in the Game When people think of American-branded automakers, they often jump to  American Motors Corporation (AMC) , which came much later. AMC, formed in 1954, made a name for itself with iconic cars like the Jeep, Gremlin, and Pacer. While AMC lasted for...

Fiat Ritmo mk1 and mk2!

Bilde
My barber, back in the early '90s, used to drive one of these cars. Now, these little Fiats came in some real spicy turbo and Abarth versions. They had these wicked cool four round headlights up front, and a grill that looked kinda mafia-esque, just like the headlights – all smooth and round. Imagine, you’re drivin' home from work or the store, and outta nowhere, a Fiat Ritmo like this starts tailin' ya. Bet you wouldn't feel too safe, huh? But, since it’s a small and cheap Fiat, you'd probably think, 'Ah, it’s just the boss's henchmen tryin' to send me a little warning.' Alright, you've been warned. Now, the first models had only two regular round headlights, but honestly, they were even cooler with a sorta duck-like vibe to 'em.
